Description
Before making your purchase, find out what type of speakers you will be replacing. You can simply measure the existing speakers and go from there. If you do not have any to begin with, a local Audio/Video shop can guide you with a few simple questions about your vehicle. Most of the time you will be able to drop them right in with little to no alterations needed.
Pay close attention to the RMS power handling of the speakers you are purchasing. This is the continuous power that a speaker can handle without distorting. Your head unit will have to have the proper number of speaker outputs compared to how many speakers you plan to hook up to it, as well as sufficient power from the built-in amplifier.
Sometimes though, a separate or external amplifier will have to be employed so that your speakers get the adequate power they need for optimal performance.

Electroplate Injection Cone
The process of Electroplating adds a thin layer of metal to the cone. This brings about an increased wear resistance, corrosion protection, as well as increased thickness. |
Rubber Surround
Impermeable to air, rubber has the ability to endure or resist exposure to the many types of weather fronts. Rubber has many different applications. We use it for the surrounds in a many of our speakers to connect the cone to the basket |
Piezoelectric Tweeter
Piezoelectric tweeters are resistant to overloads that would normally destroy most high frequency drivers and they can be used without a crossover due to their electrical properties. The active element is basically a piece of polarized material (i.e. some parts of the molecule are positively charged, while other parts of the molecule are negatively charged) |
Cast Basket
Cast has better resonant frequencies and vibrates less. This translates to a frame that is able to absorb and transfer much of the energy produced by the speaker. It is durable and harder to damage or break, has good corrosion resistance, high thermal and electrical conductivity and retains strength at high temperatures. |
